I had a really great experience with this company. I had a shower leak, and then two weeks later noticed a roof leak. We had significant mold from both. Certified did a fantastic job of removing the damaged materials – including a tile shower – and [removing] the mold. They broke up a complex job, helped us provide documentation to the insurance company, and were super responsive to my questions and concerns.

I did not expect the degree of care that everyone I interacted with at Certified Indoor Air showed. From the owner who did the initial estimate, to the office manager I talked to often throughout the work, to the two workers who came out to do it, everyone was considerate, respectful, and super professional.

Dealing with this situation has been pretty overwhelming, and I really appreciated feeling like I had some allies along the way.

As for the nuts and bolts: the paperwork and accounting was clear, they returned my phone calls promptly, they showed up when they said they would, they worked really hard when they were here…these folks have it together. Look, having remediation work done in your house while you’re living in it is pretty disruptive. It’s going to be hard, so prepare for that.

But if you hire these folks to do it, it’ll be done right.

A couple weeks ago, my wife and I were in our downstairs bathroom measuring it for new vinyl. My wife noticed that the wall looked wet, and sure enough, I was able to put my finger right through the sheetrock. In a panic, I called my insurance company, and got a reference from my father to contact Certified Indoor Air, as his neighbor was very pleased with work CIA had done for them. While the insurance company was of no help, Randy from CIA was at my house that afternoon looking at the damage. The CIA crew was quick to respond, sealing off the room and removing the moldy sheetrock and ensuring that it was safe to stay in our house. The next morning, they were onsite to finish the cleanup, and coordinated with a plumber and a sheetrock specialist to repair the leaky pipe, and seal the wall back up. All the while both Dave and Randy were in constant contact with us, and made several trips by the house to make sure the projects was going according to plan.
